Software Engineer II
Location: Huntsville, AL
Status: Full Time – On Site
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, First Shift
Brief Job Description:
The Software Engineer II works as a software
developer for T&W Operations applying principles of
engineering to software development, produces new
software programs and maintains and/or modifies
existing software programs based on contract and
customer requirements.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- 4-years’ related experience and Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer Science or
Mathematics related field. - 4-years’ experience with OOP languages, C# or
Java - 3-years’ experience with relational databases
MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. - Scripting language experience preferred JavaScript
or Python. Must be able to obtain and maintain a
security clearance. Must be capable of passing a
drug screening. - Communicates using clear, concise, and accurate
English, both verbal and written, are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience working on Agile team is a plus.
- Ensures data integrity within various software
applications Complies with internal ISO 9001
document control requirements. - Works with a team of software engineers to
develop and maintain web-based logistics
applications as well as standalone custom software
leveraging ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, Java,
JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, and CSS. - Assists management in analyzing user needs and
developing software solutions, designing software,
and customizing software for client use. - Confers with systems analysts, engineers,
programmers, and others to design systems and to
obtain information on project requirements,
performance metrics and interfaces. - Effectively communicates with management to
relay the status of the project objectives on a
regular basis. - Employees may be required to travel for work
related tasks: Performs other tasks as needed.
